A Last Thank You and Goodbye

In hopes of answering some questions I decided to write a little bit of a letter. If you guys are reading this and are still not sure what’s going on with Limitless – the server is closed. If forever I don’t know, but for now it is closed. Although I do hope to perhaps sometime in the future to get together a small team and create an even better server I am currently not planning that. There are a few reasons that I’ve decided to do this, but most importantly because I am the only one really left developing the server (as it’s always basically been). I have come to a point in my life where I have to move on from the server. I had the choice of course to leave Limitless running, but because of the lack of effort that would go into maintenance the server would be half-assed, and that is not something I wanted to do. With that said I do want to mention that the website and forum will continue to be online for those who wish to stay in contact with each other. I have considered and am expecting a few of you to contact me regarding taking over the server or helping develop it. I have thought this over and the reason I didn’t try to do it this way is because it would be really hard to get this server, which is almost a year old, back to a popular status. I came to a conclusion that a wipe would be in need as well as a real redesign of the whole server, and again – with the time that I’ve got I would not be able to manage something like that even with the help of a few guys who know some basic scripting. I think that’s about all I’ve got to say. I really do thank all of you who played on the server and helped about and around. I hope you enjoyed playing here as much as I enjoyed having you. I do believe that, although there were a few problems, that in general the server was a success in my books. I never expected us to even be as popular as we were – the server was actually first designed simply for a small group of friends! I know I’ll be hearing from some of you yet.. Thankfully, David.
